In 2001, GS Housing was officially founded, marking the beginning of its journey in modular construction. The company focused on innovation and quality, committed to providing efficient and sustainable building solutions, laying a solid foundation for future growth.

In 2008, GS Housing entered the temporary construction sector, built its Beijing factory, and delivered over 120,000 resettlement units after the Sichuan earthquake — accounting for 10.5% of the national total, contributing to disaster relief and social reconstruction.

In 2013, GS Housing established a professional architectural design team to enhance the company’s ability in product innovation and project customization. This milestone allowed GS Housing to offer clients more flexible and modern modular housing designs, integrating aesthetics, functionality, and energy efficiency into every project.

In 2015, GS Housing re-entered the northern market with upgraded modular units, strengthening product competitiveness and market penetration. At the same time, the company began construction of the Tianjin production base, laying a solid foundation for future large-scale manufacturing and nationwide distribution.

By 2016, GS Housing had built its Guangdong production base, expanding manufacturing capacity and strengthening quality control. The new facility became one of the most advanced modular housing factories in South China, capable of producing large-scale prefabricated buildings with precision and speed. This achievement positioned GS Housing as a key player in the modular construction industry.

In 2017, GS Housing established its Gaoming branch in Foshan, supported by a registered capital of 62 million RMB. This strategic expansion strengthened the company’s production capacity, regional deployment, and operational capabilities in South China, laying a solid foundation for future modular construction projects.

In 2018, GS Housing established a specialized R&D department dedicated to modular innovation, advancing product technology and system development. The company now holds over 48 national patents, showcasing its strong capabilities in research, engineering, and standardized modular construction solutions.

In 2019, GS Housing opened its 150,000㎡ Jiangsu production base, significantly expanding production capacity and supporting nationwide modular supply. In the same year, the company established new business entities in Chengdu, Hainan, international trade, supply chain management, and engineering, marking a major step in diversified development and regional expansion.

In 2020, GS Housing evolved into GS Housing Group, integrating R&D, production, and global project operations. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the company made a historic contribution by providing modular building systems for the Huoshenshan and Leishenshan Hospitals, proving the speed, reliability, and social value of modular buildings in emergency construction.

In 2021, GS Housing Group attended the China Building Science Conference and Green Smart Building Expo (GIB), showcasing the company’s latest modular innovations. During the event, GS Housing launched its new modular washing house series, demonstrating enhanced product versatility and improved on-site service solutions.

In 2022, GS Housing optimized its national resource layout and advanced toward standardized, industrialized, integrated, and smart production systems. These strategic improvements strengthened the company’s operational efficiency and set the foundation for large-scale, intelligent modular construction.

In 2023, GS Housing opened its Western China hub, focusing on next-generation intelligent modular buildings tailored for commercial and government clients. This expansion reinforced the company’s presence in western regions and advanced the application of smart, efficient modular construction solutions.

In 2024, GS Housing established Guangdong Oriental GS Residential Technology Industrial Co., Ltd. with an investment of 100.4 million RMB, focusing on permanent modular building systems. During the same year, the company successfully developed and launched a new trending product — the Expandable Modular Unit, which quickly became a market highlight due to its flexible structure, rapid deployment, and wide application potential.
